About US

A voluntary and independent organization aimed at promoting women's entrepreneurship and participation in the national economy and international projects, strengthening their mutual cooperation in business, personal development, and self-expression, as well as utilizing their creative and organizational potential in implementing projects beneficial to society.

The association organizes meetings in Vilnius and other cities. Various speakers are invited to events, including entrepreneurs, economists, politicians, diplomats, and active public figures, who speak on topics such as business organization and development, personal growth, and other relevant issues. We also visit companies owned by association members, where we get to know their activities more closely. You can read more about events in the EVENTS section of the website.

Those considering the possibility of joining the activities of the Business Women’s Association are also invited to attend our events, meet the association’s members, and become a member of our organization.

History of the Business Women's Association

The Business Women’s Association in Lithuania was established on December 21, 2015. The founding agreement was signed by six individuals: Dr. Dalia Foigt-Norvaišienė, Vaida Balčiūnienė, Alma Ziziliauskienė, Rima Ingstad, Edita Mackevičienė, and Svetlana Zilinskienė.

The need to establish an official organization arose after several years of club-based activities, when connections were formed with similar organizations abroad, as well as a growing need to participate in projects promoting women’s entrepreneurship and personal development, and to share experience with aspiring entrepreneurs.

Business owners and top-level executives are invited to become members of the association—they may participate as individuals or represent a legal entity. The association is not limited to women-only membership; it is open to anyone who shares its recognized values and goals.
