We invite you to traditionally celebrate MARCH 8 together with VMA colleagues. We meet at the premiere at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre. We will listen and admire the opera “Don Juan”.
The theater presents this opera as follows:
“Don Juan can be considered the calling card of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. As the famous music historian Hermann Abert wrote, “The essence of Don Juan’s character is not the ability to seduce one or another woman who happens to be there, even if there are “mille e trè”, but an uncontrollable desire for life and love, raging like a free natural force.” On the LNOBT stage, this most famous Mozart opera is staged by director John Fulljames, who has directed at the world’s major opera houses: Milan’s La Scala, London’s Covent Garden, Madrid’s Teatro Real, Barcelona’s Liceu and Paris’ Théâtre du Châtelet. It is a joint production of LNOBT, Greek National Opera, Royal Danish Opera and Gothenburg Opera.
